Did you know that only 30% of the leather used in the tannery is transformed into a finished product? The remaining 70% is handled as waste.

Fedon wanted to reuse this precious waste by creating eyeglass cases and expanding its range of eco-sustainable materials.

Salpa, a material made with regenerated leather, worked with water-based glues and with the addition of natural rubber, boasts a long life because of its resistance.

Dolomite

Dolomite is a material composed of 50% milk and 50% cotton.

The milk casein coming from the dairy waste of the Dolomites turns into textile fibers.

Silky to the touch, Dolomite is totally biodegradable and has antistatic and hypoallergenic properties.

Dolomite is born in our mountains, The Belluno Dolomites. A unique project for the reuse of waste from milk processing combined with cotton fiber.

Impacto

It is a leatherette partially obtained from corn and recycled polyester.

This biofiber comes from a fermentation process that begins with the corn plant starch, replacing petrochemicals with agricultural raw materials.

Impacto, a material that is able to give the same sensation of the leather, is 100% breathable and has a high resistance.

Eco-Pu

Eco-Pu is the Fedon solution! You can choose from a range of sustainable fabrics that support the outer material of the eyeglass case.

The "backing" of the case can have different origins and can come from recycled PET, from recycled polyester, but also from recycled cotton or a mix of materials such as polyester and cotton.

Eco-Canvas

Did you know that about 2,700L of water is needed to produce a cotton t-shirt?

We need to find a way to bring the products back to life after use, without turning them into waste, and without wasting all the water used in their production.

This is the reason why Eco-Canvas was born: cotton with a 60% recycled component coming from pre-consumption phase. The remaining 40% is virgin cotton for ennoble the fabric.
